Hi, my name is Itamar.

I am a creative technologist, a Technical Artist and a musician.

As a child, I had the privilege to absorb different types of art, which enabled me to develop my artistic way. When I started with music at age twelve, I decided to pick up the clarinet as my main instrument as I’ve also embraced jazz and classical music. I graduated from the jazz department at Thelma Yellin high school for performing arts in 2011 and from the IDF orchestra in 2014.

I began my academic studies when I was accepted to the first cohort of a new program – Digital Media – at the Steve Tisch School of Film and Television at Tel-Aviv University, which I completed with an MFA in 2021. The Digital Media program was based on film studies enhanced by today’s breakthrough technologies such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality, AI, and more. I focused on digital storytelling, using these technologies to integrate narratives with interactive forms.

During my studies, I created multiple Digital works. I combined my creative and technological passions in my final project – PLAY YOUR WAY (2021) – an interactive musical VR experience about the Israeli jazz scene in New York.

Currently, I work as a technical artist for a gaming company in Tel Aviv, together with developing my own projects in the field of XR and digital health. In my past experience, I worked as a UX designer for a startup focused on XR and as a video producer for several companies and organizations. I also had the chance to work as a research assistant in different studies at Tel Aviv University, creating documentary films and interactive interfaces.

Besides that, I am still passionate about jazz music, and I perform weekly music gigs in various clubs and bars in Tel Aviv.
